Middle leaders play a critical role in our schools. It is middle leaders who ensure a school’s vision is turned into reality, that policy translates into practice. They provide a vital bridge between senior leaders and the teaching staff, acting as both a filter and buffer.
James Bowen, NAHT director of policy and director of NAHT Edge.

Our Aspiring Middle Leader Programme is designed to prepare you for the vital role of middle leadership. This six-part course, delivered across the academic year by our Executive Director of Education, will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.

If you’re an aspiring middle leader, have recently stepped into the role, or are simply keen to learn more, we would love for you to join us!

Session 01: Models of leadership and what good leadership means to you.
Session 02: Building a team.
Session 03: Improvement plans and leading change.
Session 04: Dealing with the unexpected and evaluating your impact.
Session 05: Time Management.
Session 06: The practical process of becoming a Middle Leader.

Please note that it is the expectation that once signed up, delegates will attend all sessions and complete the programme to gain their CPD certificate.
